Tired & feeling a lack of energy? Skip the coffee and try essential oils instead.
Fatigue can set-in as a result of many health conditions– low blood sugar, stress, over-exertion, hormonal problems, or depression. Essential oils can help all of these conditions!
One of the fastest and easiest ways to get a quick pick-me-up when the fatigue sets in is with essential oils. Peppermint is my favorite to awaken the body and mind! Other oils that are great for fatigue include citrus oils such as bergamot, grapefruit, lemon and wild orange. Spearmint, cinnamon, Cassia, and any citrus or elevating blends are also good to increase your energy.
Try applying the oils with any of these methods:
- Put a drop or two of peppermint on the back of your neck, your forehead and/or your temples. Massage the oil in to relieve tension and stress. Be sure to use a carrier oil if it is a hot oil.
- Breathe deeply to inhale the scent of the oil. Simply open the cap and inhale slowly and deeply several times. Or, you can put a drop in the palm of your hand, cup your hands over your nose and mouth and breathe in.
- Diffuse the oil for a boosting energy that everyone in the room can enjoy.
I like to keep a bottle of peppermint and wild orange by my computer while I’m working, it’s a great way to boost my energy when the 3 o’clock energy lag sets in!
