Cleaning the Fridge with Essential Oils

This weekend, I did one of my least favorite chores: cleaning out the fridge. It’s one of those things that definitely needs to be done on a regular basis… but I always dread it! Luckily, I have essential oils to make the cleaning easier.

This is my favorite way to clean the fridge:

Fill a spray bottle filled with water and a few drops of lemon essential oil. Use the bottle to spray down the shelves, and let it soak for a few minutes before wiping everything down with a rag.

For the stubborn spots, I will occassionally put a drop of two of essential oil directly on the corner of a damp rag, and then use that corner to scrub the spot. This technique works amazingly well with sticky spots, such as produce stickers that are stuck to the shelves or the drawers.

The great thing about using lemon essentail oil to clean the fridge is that I get the aromatic benefits of the essential oil the whole time! The smell of fresh lemon beats the smell of chemical cleaners, and it is a safer alternative!

With love,

Becki :)

I love essential oils.lavender and peppermint is what we use the most but lemon sounds like a great idea for the cleaning and fresh smell.
